Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud migration, cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and on-premises network and security knowledge. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms, automation, and the ability to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud solutions. You will lead large-scale migration projects, manage cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Migration: Lead and execute large-scale cloud migration projects from on-premises environments to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Assess existing infrastructure and applications to develop migration strategies, plan lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecture migrations, and ensure minimal downtime and data loss. Use tools like AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, and Google Cloud Migrate for Compute Engine.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure for scalable, highly available applications. Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and scalability. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications.
• DevOps Practices: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker. Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Network, Security & Compliance: Demonstrate strong knowledge of on-premises networking (VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, DNS). Implement and manage hybrid cloud solutions. Ensure robust security practices, conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing. Manage IAM, encryption, and network security. Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and other standards. Monitor and respond to security incidents.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Work with cross-functional teams including managed services, delivery, and presales. Mentor junior engineers, document migration processes, and contribute to cloud migration frameworks. Stay up-to-date with latest cloud technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering, with a minimum of 2+ years specializing in cloud migration projects.
• Deep expertise in at least two cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong Linux system administration skills, including command-line tools and scripting.
• Proficiency in cloud networking and security design and implementation (virtual networks, routing, security, monitoring).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, with experience automating infrastructure tasks.
• Experience with cloud migration tools such as AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, or Google Cloud Migrate for Compute Engine.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates) is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Understanding of observability platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Highly team-oriented and collaborative.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Preferred: Certification on any cloud platform.
