Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / GCP Engineer to join our Chennai team. This is a hands-on, production-facing role focused on DevOps, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), platform reliability, and support during US business hours. You will take ownership of production systems, automate operations, and progressively develop Python/backend troubleshooting skills. This is not a pure development role; the primary emphasis is on infrastructure, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and improve GCP infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, security).
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Administer Linux systems and Docker/containerized applications.
• Monitor production systems, logs, alerts, and overall infrastructure health.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents during US support hours (India night shift).
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive improvements.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, backup, and recovery processes.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks.
• Support secure cloud infrastructure and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in India, Europe, and the United States.
• Gradually learn and contribute to Python/backend services for production troubleshooting and support.
