Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fullstack AI Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to developing HelloIvy.ai, an AI-powered career coach designed to aid young individuals in making informed career choices. This role presents a unique opportunity to directly influence how students worldwide understand their career options, explore pathways, and make significant life decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build AI systems tailored for personalized career guidance, including:
  • Skill inference from user inputs such as profiles and assessments.
  • Career matching and recommendations based on user behavior.
  • Learning and career pathway modeling to support better decision-making.
• Develop and enhance workflows driven by Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompting, chaining, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Construct comprehensive data pipelines integrating user behaviors, labor market insights, educational data, and skills taxonomies.
• Implement robust evaluation metrics to monitor relevance, accuracy, bias, and user outcomes.
• Optimize AI models for scalability, latency, and cost-effectiveness as user volumes grow.
• Collaborate with product managers, design teams, and domain experts in education and careers to deliver impactful solutions.

Requirements

Required:

• Minimum 4 years of work experience
• Strong foundation in machine learning and applied AI
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models)
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)
• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking, or personalization
• Proficient in NLP or conversational AI
• Ability to translate ambiguous human problems into structured AI solutions
• Deployment and maintenance on Azure platform
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment

Preferred:

• Experience with RAG systems, embeddings, vector databases
• Familiarity with career, education, or skills data (e.g., O*NET, ESCO, labor market datasets)
• Exposure to bias, fairness, or explainability in AI systems
• Experience deploying models into production (APIs, monitoring, iteration loops)
