Senior iOS Engineer needed to lead key engineering decisions and ship production code for Speechify's award-winning iOS app. Ideal candidate has experience scaling products to large user bases, customer obsession, and expertise in Swift and SwiftUI.
Speechify is on a mission to make reading accessible to everyone, eliminating the barrier that reading can pose to learning. With over 50 million users globally, Speechify's text-to-speech products transform any written content – PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, websites – into audio, enabling users to read faster, read more, and remember more. The company operates as a fully distributed team of nearly 200 people worldwide, with no physical office. Team members come from leading companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, as well as high-growth startups such as Stripe, Vercel, and Bolt, and include PhD program leaders from Stanford and many former founders.
Due to the rapid growth of its iOS app – currently ranked #18 in the Productivity category on the App Store and recognized with Apple's 2025 Design Award for Inclusivity – Speechify is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to support the expanding user base and lead new, exciting projects to advance the company's mission. This is a key role ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, is passionate about making product decisions, and has a track record of building great user experiences that delight users.
