Role Overview

As an Officer/Senior Officer in the Central Project Management Unit (CPMU), you will be responsible for centrally driving the strategic outcomes of the Catalyst program across 20+ states. This position sits at the core of LAHI’s knowledge management and advocacy efforts, ensuring that state-level PMU teams have the tools, documentation, and strategic insights needed to scale skill education effectively. You will act as a central knowledge expert, build high-impact knowledge products for senior government officials, and drive outcome-oriented collaboration with state teams. The role requires a blend of program management, analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex education policy into actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update strategic knowledge products for skill education delivery at scale, such as presentations for IAS officers, standard operating procedures (SOPs), concept notes, and best practice documentation.
• Work closely with 20+ state PMU teams to drive outcomes by providing them with centrally produced knowledge resources.
• Serve as a central knowledge expert for specific skill education areas, offering guidance and support to state-level teams.
• Advocate the use of knowledge products among senior bureaucrats (IAS officers), district officials, school heads, and teachers to improve decision-making and planning.
• Maintain comprehensive trackers that provide senior leadership with real-time insights into skill education implementation across states.
• Conduct need-based visits to states to understand implementation challenges, build relationships with government officials, and gain exposure to diverse contexts.
• Organize, lead, and facilitate meetings and events involving LAHI teams and external stakeholders.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed under the guidance of the CPMU Manager and Head.

• Microsoft PowerPoint for creating professional presentations for senior government officials.
• AI platforms (e.g., generative AI tools) for content creation, summarization, and visual design.
• Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for collaborative documentation and tracking.
• Data visualization tools (e.g., charts, dashboards) for maintaining central trackers and reporting.
• Proficiency in drafting official letters, note sheets, and proposals using standard word processing tools.

Overall experience of 2-5+ years in education projects and government projects at state/district level. Prior experience in education or skill development or government fellowship (e.g., Gandhi, TFI, MGNF) preferred. Experience working in a government PMU setup is highly desirable. Program management or monitoring experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management, Public Policy, or a relevant discipline. Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi. Proficiency in drafting official letters, note sheets, proposals, concept notes, SOPs, and presentations. Technical skills in Canva, PowerPoint, AI platforms, and design tools. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and influencing skills. Must be action-oriented, humble, self-driven, and able to work with cross-state teams.
