Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our expanding team in Bangalore. This role involves performance testing for high-volume, transaction-oriented applications, primarily in the retail e-commerce sector. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performance analysis, monitoring, and using advanced testing tools to ensure our applications run efficiently under heavy usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive performance testing, monitoring, and analysis for applications, focusing on e-commerce environments.
• Design and execute performance tests specifically for microservices deployed on cloud IaaS platforms like AWS.
• Utilize testing tools such as HP LoadRunner, JMeter, or SOASTA CloudTest to perform load and stress testing.
• Validate performance of batch jobs and messaging queues utilizing systems like Kafka and TIBCO.
• Employ Application Performance Management (APM) tools, primarily Dynatrace, for diagnostics and bottleneck identification.
• Monitor application logs using platforms such as Splunk or ELK to ensure optimal performance.
• Integrate performance testing processes into Agile workflows and DevOps pipelines, utilizing tools like Jenkins and Git.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor performance metrics effectively.
• Recommend non-functional requirements based on product specifications and collaborate closely with other developers and project teams to resolve performance issues.
• Communicate clearly with technical leads, managers, and executives regarding findings and necessary escalations.
• Use programming skills in Java, Python, and shell scripting to enhance test automation and performance analysis.
