Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our hybrid team in Chennai, India. This role focuses primarily on manual testing (80% of duties), ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, with an additional 20% devoted to automation tasks supporting regression suites. Experience within the Healthcare and Retail domains is preferred, giving candidates a significant advantage in understanding specific industry workflows and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for the following:

Manual Testing (80% Focus)

• Analyze software requirements to identify testing scenarios and gaps.
• Write clear, comprehensive, and detailed manual test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, UI, and integration test suites to ensure product quality.
• Log defects in Jira, providing clear steps, logs, and screenshots to assist in debugging efforts.
• Validate complex domain workflows for Retail or Healthcare systems to ensure that all processes function as expected.

Automation Testing (20% Focus)

• Run existing automated regression scripts during release cycles and diligently analyze any test failures to distinguish between bugs and automation script issues.
• Update broken test scripts as workflows and UI elements change, ensuring the scripts remain effective.
• Add new basic test scripts as the product evolves, contributing towards continuous enhancement of the testing suite.
