Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience for a hybrid role based in Chennai, India. This position is crucial for ensuring high-quality product delivery with a strong emphasis on manual testing (80%) and a light focus on automation testing (20%). If you have domain experience in healthcare or retail, this will be a significant advantage in your application.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual Testing (80% focus):

  • Analyze software requirements to identify testing scenarios and gaps.
  • Write clear, comprehensive, and detailed manual test cases.
  • Execute functional, regression, UI, and integration test suites.
  • Log defects in Jira with detailed steps, logs, and screenshots.
  • Validate complex domain workflows for retail or healthcare systems.

• Automation Testing (20% focus):

  • Run existing automated regression scripts during release cycles.
  • Analyze automation test failures to distinguish between genuine bugs and script issues.
  • Update broken test scripts as necessary when UI elements or workflows change.
  • Add new basic test scripts for stable features over time.

Tech Stack

• Manual & Process Skills: Jira, Azure DevOps, Agile methodologies.
• Programming Languages: Python or Java.
• Testing Frameworks: Selenium, Playwright.
• API Testing Tools: Postman, Swagger.
• Database Skills: Basic SQL for data verification.

Salary

Based on industry standards, the estimated salary for this position is ₹80,000 - ₹1,50,000 per month.

Requirements

• Experience: 5 to 8 years of solid software testing experience.
• Expertise:
  • Agile methodologies, sprint cycles, and test planning.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test tools.
  • Strong ability to perform exploratory and unstructured testing.
• Technical Skills:
