Role Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our organization by optimizing the financial and operational aspects of construction projects. Your expertise will be crucial in managing costs, schedules, and quality assurance on high-rise residential projects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze various design, procurement, and construction strategies to optimize time, cost, and quality.
• Prepare, monitor, and maintain project schedules, securing project manager approval as necessary.
• Generate and oversee the Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for all design packages, ensuring meticulous detail on architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical aspects.
• Proactively manage procurement, contract, and design activities to meet project deadlines and milestones.
• Collaborate with project managers to address any scheduling delays and propose viable recovery plans, ensuring that projects remain on track.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all project phases, including management information system (MIS) reports, cost reports, and progress tracking.
• Conduct regular reviews of contractor performance and track budget variances, providing forecasts on potential financial impacts.
• Evaluate project change requests and modifications, assessing their effect on timelines and costs, and effectively communicate implications to the project manager.
• Conduct risk assessments and devise contingency plans to mitigate potential cost impacts to projects.
• Foster a cohesive working relationship between internal teams and subcontractors to facilitate project coordination and efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior quantity surveyors, helping them grow and develop in their careers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies throughout all project stages.

• Bachelor's degree in construction, management, or engineering.
• 6-10 years’ working experience in construction industry.
• Proven experience in planning, quantity surveying, billing, reconciliation, and reporting.

• Familiarity with relevant software tools for quantity surveying.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
