Role Overview

As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing key accounts and driving sales growth within the assigned territory. This position requires strong technical knowledge in steel manufacturing along with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Your role will involve regular travel to client locations to foster relationships and ensure satisfaction while meeting sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, nurture, and expand relationships with key customers to achieve sales and business objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts while developing new client relationships.
• Prepare and execute sales plans to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Conduct regular customer visits to understand their needs, address concerns, and strengthen business relationships.
• Provide technical and commercial support by recommending appropriate products and solutions to meet customer specifications.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and ensure efficient order closures in collaboration with internal teams.
• Collect customer feedback and monitor market trends while reporting competitive insights to management.
• Liaise with internal departments - Production, Planning, Supply Chain, and Customer Service - to ensure timely order fulfillment and satisfaction.
• Ensure collection of outstanding payments and facilitate resolution of overdue accounts.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records within CRM/ERP systems, preparing visit reports and Management Information System (MIS) documentation.
• Represent the company at industry exhibitions, meetings, and events as required.

Salary

The expected salary range for this role is ₹75,000 - ₹87,500 per month, equivalent to ₹900,000 - ₹1,050,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering from a reputed college.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Technical Sales, B2B Industrial Sales, or Key Account Management.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in Steel, Hydraulics, Industrial Components, Automotive, or Engineering Products preferred.
