Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong problem-solving skills and product-building experience to join our high-performing engineering team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing, developing, and scaling enterprise-grade financial technology products with a focus on quality, performance, and security. This role is based in Chennai or Pune, India, and is a full-time position requiring 5+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance microservices-based solutions using Java and Spring Boot

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

Architect and implement solutions on AWS platform, leveraging services like S3, Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, SQS, and SNS

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviews

Ensure best practices in software development including domain-driven design, event-based architecture, and full SDLC compliance

Build and deliver mission-critical, 24x7 production software systems

Handle multiple priorities and communicate technical issues effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field from a reputed college

6-8 years of industry experience in software engineering with 2-3 years of experience directly managing a team of software engineers

In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts and Design Patterns, Domain Driven Design, event-based design, and Microservices architecture and best practices

5+ years of development experience in Java, Spring Boot, Business Process Orchestration, Microservices, Messaging, MySQL & Flowable

Experience with AWS platform implementation (S3, Lambda, Step functions, EC2, SQS, SNS, etc.)

Track record of building and delivering mission-critical, 24x7 production software systems

Experience architecting systems on AWS platform is a strong plus

Ability to deal with ambiguity and independently drive, design, and implement large-scale software solutions

Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on technical projects

Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Technical aptitude to quickly grasp complex technical issues and communicate with technical and non-technical teams

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for full SDLC (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, operations)

Knowledge of credit products like corporate bonds/loans, credit default swaps, total return swaps is a plus
