Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at DAT, you will join a passionate team within the IAM domain, specifically focusing on Account Management and Customer Support. This role involves leading the design and development of customer-facing and internal web applications. You will be instrumental in addressing complex enterprise account management challenges and enhancing user experience through innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and Lead: Drive the technical design and development of scalable microservices and robust web applications, particularly for complex user management flows.
• Drive Modernization: Lead the migration of legacy TypeScript/Java services to modern, scalable Node.js/TypeScript microservices, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Mentor & Elevate: Provide mentorship to junior developers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and raising code quality standards.
• Code & Optimize: Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code while troubleshooting complex issues and optimizing applications.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and analytics teams to design user-centered solutions that meet business needs.
• Champion Quality: Implement best practices for testing and lead comprehensive design and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Timings for this role will be from 2 PM to 11 PM IST, requiring a commitment to excellence and collaboration.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer in building production-scale products.
• Expert proficiency in TypeScript with hands-on experience in building microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs using Node.js.
• Familiarity with modern web UI frameworks (preferably Angular or alternatively React).
• Ability to work with legacy Java backend modules for migration purposes.
• Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with event streaming systems (e.g., Kafka) or other messaging systems.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, OOP, dependency injection, IoC containers.
• Experience with cloud providers, preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
