Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Product Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, reusable Java code for our Energy Components products while engaging in data strategy initiatives. This position requires you to work closely with global cross-functional teams to gather requirements and drive continuous improvement, making you an integral part of our technology team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable Java applications focused on the Oil & Gas domain.
• Contribute to ETL pipeline development and oversee data strategy initiatives to improve data quality and standardization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify project risks.
• Build efficient RESTful APIs and contribute to scalable, event-driven backend architectures.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Document technical changes and development guidelines and mentor junior developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Own assigned features end-to-end, exercising a moderate level of autonomy while reporting to project leads.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Core Java and Java EE / Jakarta EE development.
• Strong proficiency in Java SE and Jakarta EE technologies including JPA, EJB, JAX-RS, and Jakarta EE containers (e.g., WildFly).
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, MVC architecture, JDBC, and common design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful service design and API development best practices; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
• Experience with ETL pipeline design and data modeling concepts.
• Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL with Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with unit and UI automation testing using JUnit and Selenium.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Nice to have: Experience in Energy Components domain, AI model development, and exposure to NLP or computer vision.
