Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Windows/Desktop Applications, you will lead the design and development of robust native applications that enhance user accessibility and engagement. This role requires deep technical expertise, a commitment to inclusive design, and the ability to collaborate across teams to create impactful software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop applications utilizing Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and other relevant technologies.
• Establish and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development, ensuring high standards of code architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Promote accessibility efforts by integrating validation and support for accessibility APIs, ensuring usability for users with disabilities.
• Collaborate with product designers and stakeholders to shape UI/UX architecture and roadmap.
• Manage the full lifecycle of features from conception through to maintenance, ensuring quality and reliability in all software releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs, performance issues, and compatibility challenges while proposing robust solutions.

Salary

Estimated salary for this position is ₹1,00,000 - ₹1,80,000 per month based on industry standards and experience level.

• 3+ years of experience in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML, and ideally additional experience with C++, Win32, WinRT, or COM.
• Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g., Microsoft UI Automation) and commitment to building accessible software.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading, or asynchronous programming.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, and conducting code reviews.
• Excellent communication skills and a user-centric mindset.
