Role Overview

As a Snowflake Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. Your expertise will be essential in enhancing performance, optimizing costs, and ensuring secure data management practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Craft scalable data solutions on Snowflake, focusing on best practices for data modeling and pipeline optimization.
• Performance Tuning: Work on Snowflake data structures to improve query performance and resource efficiency.
• Data Migration: Assist with data migration and integration, ensuring the smooth transition of data across various cloud platforms.
• System Management: Manage secure data environments while adhering to strict governance practices.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with external teams to ensure system stability and tackle incidents effectively.
• Optimization: Enrich system performance by refining data pipelines and reducing costs through effective usage of resources.

• Primary Technologies: Snowflake, DBT, Snow SQL, Snow Pipe
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure
• Data Formats: JSON, XML, CSV
• ETL Tools: Custom ETL pipelines, best practices in data warehousing
• Languages: SQL, Python (for automation)

Requirements

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in a related field (BSC preferred).
• Experience: 3-6 years in Snowflake and data engineering.
• Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on expertise in Snowflake, DBT, Snow SQL, Snow Pipe.
  • Proficient in ETL pipelines and data migration from RDBMS to Snowflake.
  • Experience in managing Snowflake objects (tables, views, stages, streams).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Good to Have:
  • Knowledge of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, data lakes).
  • Scripting with Python for automation.
  • Experience with monitoring tools for performance tracking.
• Personal Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Background in Financial Services/banking is a plus.
