Build and scale AiPrise's compliance orchestration platform and AI agent systems as a Software Engineer I. Own features end-to-end from design to deployment.
AiPrise is a global compliance orchestration platform that helps fintechs, marketplaces, and payment companies verify and onboard customers worldwide. The platform integrates with over 80 identity and compliance vendors to provide a holistic view of risk. AiPrise is now building AI-powered compliance agents to revolutionize Know Your Business (KYB), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), sanctions screening, and risk scoring — enabling customers to onboard faster, reduce manual reviews, and prevent financial crime. Backed by Y Combinator, the company serves clients like Meta and leading fintechs, and operates with a fast-moving, mission-driven team based in San Jose and Bangalore.
We are hiring a Software Engineer I to help build and scale the core platform behind AiPrise’s compliance orchestration and AI agent systems. This is a ‘build it, ship it, own it’ role. You will take features end to end — from design to code to deploy to iterate — across our case management product, vendor integrations, orchestration APIs, and customer-facing tools. You will be in the trenches with founders and a fast-moving team, turning messy real-world compliance problems into clean, reliable systems. If you are a hungry engineer who wants real ownership, high impact, and a product that gets used in production every day, this role is for you.
This role is based in Bangalore, India. Compensation range is ₹1,25,000 - ₹2,50,000 per month.
0-2 years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems. Strong programming fundamentals in at least one modern backend language (Python, Go, Java, Node.js, or similar). Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed systems. Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and modern deployment practices. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Nice-to-have: Experience in FinTech, RegTech, payments, or fraud/risk detection. Knowledge of compliance workflows (KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening). Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues. Familiarity with NoSQL databases or search engines. Experience integrating with third-party APIs. Frontend development experience (React, TypeScript). Background working with ML/AI systems or data-intensive applications. Kubernetes, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code experience.
Competitive compensation with meaningful equity upside; mission-critical software fighting financial crime; YC-backed startup; fast shipping; in-person collaboration in San Jose.
