Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer III to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This role is a high-impact, high-ownership position where you will design, build, and own features end-to-end—from ambiguous requirements to production launch and iteration. You will work on the core platform behind AiPrise's compliance orchestration and AI agent systems, including case management, vendor integrations, orchestration APIs, and customer-facing tools. You will collaborate closely with founders and a fast-moving engineering team, transforming messy real-world compliance problems into clean, reliable, and scalable systems. Key Responsibilities

• Feature Ownership: Design, develop, and deploy production features across the entire platform stack, including backend APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and case management UI. Own features end-to-end from requirements gathering through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Build Scalable APIs: Create robust REST APIs and microservices that orchestrate verification checks across 80+ compliance vendors covering identity verification, sanctions screening, and document analysis. Develop case management workflows and business logic for KYB/AML compliance processes.
• Data Pipelines: Build data pipelines to ingest, transform, and route compliance data at scale. Integrate with third-party identity and compliance APIs, handling complex vendor response mapping and error handling.
• Technical Excellence: Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with comprehensive documentation. Participate in code reviews, contribute to engineering best practices, and debug production issues with urgency. Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency while building monitoring, alerting, and observability into your features.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product managers, compliance experts, and customer success teams. Contribute to technical decision-making and architecture discussions. Help shape engineering culture and development workflows as the team scales.

4-7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems; Strong programming fundamentals in at least one modern backend language (Python, Go, Java, Node.js, etc.); Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed systems; Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling; Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP/Azure acceptable); Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and modern deployment practices; Proven ability to own features end-to-end; Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and business-to-technical translation skills; Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers (formal or informal). Nice-to-have: FinTech/RegTech/payments/fraud/risk experience; Knowledge of compliance workflows (KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions); Event-driven architecture experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS); NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) or Elasticsearch; Third-party API integration; Frontend (React, TypeScript); ML/AI or data-intensive applications; Kubernetes/Terraform/IaC.
