Role Overview

As a Software Engineer in the Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services across various aspects of Speechify, including but not limited to payments, analytics, subscriptions, and integrations with external APIs. This key position is well-suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess strategic thinking capabilities, and are dedicated to enhancing user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including public TTS API and internal APIs for Payment, Subscription, Authentication, and Consumption Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration requirements for enterprise clients.
• Engage closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience.

Tech Stack

• Programming Languages: TypeScript, Node.js
• Cloud Services: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), knowledge of AWS and Azure
• Other Technologies: Docker, Kubernetes (preferred for high availability deployments)

• Proven experience in backend development: TS/Node (required)
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
• Efficiency in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact
• Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
• Preferred: Proficiency in deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset focused on delivering user-centric solutions.
