Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Software Engineer to oversee the management and continuous development of our web infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our Jekyll-based website and administering GitHub repositories while leveraging AI-assisted development platforms to deliver high-quality web solutions. This role serves as the primary technical steward of our digital presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Website Development & Maintenance: Administer and update the organization’s Jekyll-based website, ensuring functionality across all platforms. Optimize performance and implement security measures to protect user data.
• Code Quality & Testing: Evaluate and author code that meets industry standards. Conduct testing and debugging to identify technical issues promptly.
• Repository Management: Create, organize, and maintain GitHub repositories. Enforce best practices in version control and documentation.
• AI-Assisted Development & Hosting: Utilize tools like Claude Code for efficient code development. Stay current with AI tools to enhance operational efficiency.
• Integrations & Data Management: Manage third-party integrations and ensure data integrity between front-end interfaces and backend systems.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate effectively between technical and non-technical teams to translate business requirements into actionable solutions. Collaborate with various stakeholders for a cohesive project outcome.
• Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of emerging web technologies and look for opportunities to improve our web infrastructure’s scalability and reliability.

Location

This position is based in Pune, India, and requires working from the office.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency with Jekyll or comparable static site generator frameworks.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Markdown, and Liquid templating.
• Proven experience with Git and GitHub, including repository administration, branching, pull requests, and issue tracking.
• Ability to effectively operate Claude Code and Cowork in a professional development environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of independent judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 3-6 years of experience in Web development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with web hosting environments and deployment workflows.
• Experience with third-party API integrations and back-end data services.
• Prior experience integrating AI-assisted tooling within a structured development practice.
• Knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
