Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Software Test Engineer (QA) to join our growing quality assurance team. This role is ideal for a professional with 1–4 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our SaaS platform by designing comprehensive test plans, executing test cases, and contributing to the test automation framework. You will work closely with developers, business stakeholders, and product teams to identify and resolve defects, validate backend data, and improve overall product reliability. This position offers hands-on experience with modern testing tools and methodologies in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing across functional, regression, system, and usability scenarios.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the test automation framework using Selenium WebDriver.
• Detect, track, and drive resolution of software defects and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with business teams, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Work with SQL databases for test data preparation, validation, and backend testing.
• Apply testing methodologies as part of SDLC and STLC, and suggest process improvements.
• Review system specifications, execute test scripts, analyze results, and document outcomes including defect reports and root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior testers and assist in knowledge sharing within the team (when applicable).

Tech Stack

• Automation & Frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (or BDD), Page Object Model, Data-Driven frameworks.
• Programming: Core Java (implied), SQL (writing queries).
• API & Performance: Postman, Rest Assured (preferred), JMeter (a plus).
• CI/CD & Version Control: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git.
• Methodologies: Agile/Scrum, SDLC, STLC.
• Other: Manual testing, functional/regression/system/usability testing, defect tracking tools (JIRA likely implied).

1–4 years of experience in manual and automation testing. Strong hands-on knowledge of Selenium WebDriver (including frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber). Working experience with SQL databases (writing queries for validation and backend testing). Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC. Ability to perform end-to-end testing (functional, regression, system, usability). Experience in preparing test plans, test cases, and test summary reports. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills: Experience building or enhancing Test Automation Frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, Data-Driven, or BDD). Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured. Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter (a plus). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control (Git). Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
