Role Overview

As a Software Testing & Quality Engineering Intern, you will engage in a learning journey designed to equip you with necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in Software Testing and Quality Engineering. You will gain hands-on experience working with QA Engineers, Developers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts, focusing on functional testing, API testing, regression testing, and automation fundamentals. This role is ideal for individuals looking to enhance their expertise in quality engineering practices, especially as the field transitions from manual to automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Learning & Full-Time Readiness (25%): Complete training in product functionalities, QA processes, and Agile methodologies within the first 45 days. Develop proficiency in various testing categories and demonstrate readiness for full-time roles.
• Test Execution & Quality Validation (30%): Execute tests according to schedules, ensuring product alignment with business requirements. Participate in integration and user acceptance testing, maintaining precise documentation.
• Defect Management & Troubleshooting Support (25%): Identify and track defects through approved management tools, creating detailed bug reports for development teams. Engage in root-cause analysis to enhance product quality.
• Testing Documentation & Knowledge Management (20%): Maintain comprehensive test cases and documentation, ensuring all resources are current and reflective of product updates. Assist in creating UAT guides and other documentation.

Tech Stack

• Testing & Automation Tools: Selenium, Playwright, Postman, Jira, Azure DevOps
• Programming & Query Languages: Basic SQL, JSON
• Methodologies: Agile Development, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing

Qualifications

• Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and API testing concepts.
• Familiarity with Postman, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and testing.
• Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, or other automation tools is a strong advantage.
• Interest in AI-assisted testing and modern quality engineering practices.

Documentation & Communication

• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to create structured test cases, bug reports, release notes, and UAT documentation.
• Ability to translate testing results into clear and actionable reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
