Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Support & Test Engineer with expertise in automotive wire harness testing and automated test equipment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, validating, and providing technical support for automated wire harness testing systems. The ideal candidate will bring their experience in electrical validation and machine vision, enabling us to enhance our testing processes and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Wire Harness Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Perform various tests including continuity, insulation resistance, isolation, and hipot testing on automotive wire harnesses.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components, including resistors, diodes, relays, and connectors.
• Troubleshoot test fixtures, Interface Test Adapters (ITAs), probes, and any hardware issues that arise during testing.
• Utilize electrical test instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), LCR meters, and DC power supplies to carry out effective testing.
• Support automation and test software development based on LabVIEW and TestStand platforms, ensuring the implementation of optimized solutions.
• Analyze communications protocols like CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and automotive Ethernet to ensure compliance and functionality.
• Conduct root cause analysis when issues arise and work to optimize test system performance continuously.
• Provide support for AOI/Machine Vision systems utilizing Cognex, Keyence, or OpenCV, ensuring the effectiveness of these technologies in our testing processes.

• Tools/Technologies: Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Electrical Testing Instruments (Oscilloscope, DMM), AOI/Machine Vision (Cognex, Keyence, OpenCV)
• Protocols: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet
• Databases: SQL/MES (preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
• 4-10 years of experience in automotive wiring harness testing.
• Proficiency in Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on skills in LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, or C#.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, CANoe, and CANalyzer.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with SQL/MES (preferred).
• Knowledge of AOI/Machine Vision technologies, specifically Cognex, Keyence, or OpenCV (preferred).
