Role Overview

As the Tech Lead for Android Development, you will play a critical role in enhancing the most widely used text-to-speech app available on the Google Play Store. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about crafting exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of features: Take responsibility for major features within the Android app, collaborating closely with the design team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Team shaping: Influence the future direction of the Android team with innovative ideas and solutions.
• Reliability metrics: Maintain and improve reliability metrics for critical features, ensuring optimal performance.
• Cross-team collaboration: Engaging in multi-disciplinary discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Code reviews and support: Review pull requests and assist teammates to strengthen the team’s capabilities.
• Critical issue management: Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges effectively.
• Feature releases: Own feature releases and coordinate nightly builds for the QA team.

Salary

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Android components and architecture
• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android app
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy
• Proven drive to push boundaries in Android UI/UX
• Understanding of testing methodologies and practices
• Expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Clean Architecture
• Excellent communication skills and a user-oriented problem-solving approach
• Proactive attitude towards improving app features and codebase
• Continuous feedback-oriented mindset
